Comments on this week:
My sponsorship page for Rape Crisis is up at Just Giving.
So I still have this lousy cold, and this isn't quite the way I'd imagined finishing, but nevertheless I have. There will be a round-up post summarising how things went, along with some more information about my second charity, but for now I'm just going to say a few thank-yous and collapse in an ungainly heap for a few moments.
I'll probably forget someone important. If it's you, sorry about that.
Thank You
To my family, because all of this is your fault, in varying degrees and for various reasons. Especially my mum, to whom I owe much more than my very existence.
To everyone who has sponsored me, or is going to.
To everyone who has provided transport to and from walks, or provided good company, moral support and occasional sugar boosts during walks.
To everyone at Rape Crisis England and Wales, especially Chris, and everyone at Refuge, especially Harriet and Ebru. The world would be a much worse place without you.
To Saddleworth Pedestrians, Oldham Countryside Service, Tameside Countryside Service, the Peak District National Park Authority, the Ramblers Association (most notably the Stockport and Manchester and High Peak Area groups), the Green and Blue Badge tour guides of Manchester, Oldham PCT, Jill Liddington, Manchester Walking Women, Manchester Jessies, Spice Manchester, the National Trust, the Women's Institute, Million Women Rise and Herstoria Magazine.
To all the pubs and cafes who have provided refreshment along the way.
To Lancashire, West Yorkshire, Cheshire, Derbyshire, Saddleworth, Manchester, London and North Wales, for being such scenic, interesting and generally lovely places to walk in.
To British wildlife and the British weather, for making it interesting.
To everyone who maintains footpaths, especially if you put nice gates in instead of stiles and make them easy for people with backpacks to get through.
To cyclists who slow down and use their bells, drivers who sit patiently while massive groups of ramblers cross the road in front of them, dog walkers who keep their pets under control, and everyone who smiles and says hello.

I was saving this for just this moment. Silent Monks Sing Hallelujah Chorus. If not for these guys I'd never have learned the words.
Quote of the week:
We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. – Thomas Stearns Eliot
I'm guessing that means I'm not finished exploring yet
