Comments on this week:
Some really nice walks this week, discovering new paths and new places and enjoying some great views, if not great weather. They do say there's no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong sort of clothes. I draw the line at hurricanes personally, not sure there's a right sort of clothes for them, but extremes aside it's a fairly good point. I've never really minded walking in the rain much if I have good waterproofs, it's actually a vaguely smug feeling to be out braving the weather while cleverly protected from its effects. I also feel like it's not proper walking if you don't have a bit of rain now and then. Hopefully the reservoir levels should get back to normal because of it, they really are very low.
Somehow I'm finding myself more busy than when I'm working, which makes no sense. I try to cram so much into the holidays, but when I look back over a day I often can't identify what I've actually done with the time. I always end up asking myself how I manage to fit work into life if I achieve so little when it's not there and still feel rushed off my feet. However, this week I can say I've achieved a lot of miles, improved my fitness and raised a little bit more money. So that's ok then.
This week's picture:

Jessica Ennis - World Heptathlon Champion 2009, World Indoor Pentathlon Champion 2010, European Heptathlon Champion 2010. Yet if you start typing her name into Google, the autocomplete feature will reveal that many people who Google her are looking for pictures of her bum. I'm sure this utterly fails to put her back in what any of these people believe is her rightful place.
Quote of the week: Because I don't take my clothes off, and I'm nobody's girlfriend. The writers are new to the whole tough girl thing, and they don't know what to do with [me]. We've got the dude who's strong, so what do we do with the chick who's strong? We kill her. Eventually they'll get used to it, and maybe Salt will change a thing or two. - Michelle Rodriguez, star of Lost and Avatar, on being asked why her characters always get killed off. Sadly, her characters aren't isolated examples in that.
Total distance completed this week: 30.731 miles (Above target)
Distance completed to date: 689.719 miles (Above target)
