Date of Walk: 12/08/10
Walk organized by: Oldham PCT
Start time: 10:00
Start location: Alexandra Park, Oldham
Walk length: 5.629 miles
Weather conditions: Cloudy, light showers

From Alt looking towards Luzley
Details:
My last nordic walk for a while. From the park we went across Snipe Clough to Park Bridge, returning through Rocher Vale and Alt. The rain made a few short appearances, as did the sun, and it was quite warm. I'll miss doing this walk. I'd like to keep doing nordic walking, but will probably need to buy my own poles and good ones are quite expensive. I'll also need to try and find another group that keeps walking over winter, as the only weekend one I know seems to be a summer thing. It's a shame that a lot of things seem to stop over winter, when it's hardest to keep going. You just end up losing all the fitness you've worked for and every year feels like starting again. It's also a shame that there isn't much to fit into the schedules of working people. Gap in the market there.
