Week ending: 04/11/10 AKA the week where I got back on track
Longer Walks Completed:

Short Walks Completed
Journeys to/from work: 8 x 1.159 miles
Other journeys:
Walk to shop 1 x 1.220 miles
Park walk 2.893 miles
Walk to social event in Manchester 1.246 miles
Comments on this week:
So I managed to do one thing as part of the Science Festival anyway. I was glad to read that the Festival walks were mostly well attended, my lack of organization aside. I'm now back to my routine of mostly walking to work as well as from work, and have acquired new things to ensure exercise can continue for me over the winter months. I've also arranged lots of things to look forward to in the midst of the dark and cold. I'm getting close to finishing now, so I need to get moving on the non-walking side of all this. Work is already hectic again, but hopefully I can keep my head above water until things calm down a bit.

The Guardian reports on a study of sexual harassment at school. The part that disturbs me most
Nearly one in four (24%) of everyone questioned said teachers had never told them that unwanted advances such as touching or name-calling were unacceptable, while a fifth (20%) said they had never received lessons or information at school about sexual consent.
Quote of the week: A lot of people are waiting for Martin Luther King or Mahatma Gandhi to come back - but they are gone. We are it. It is up to us. It is up to you. - Marian Wright Edelman
